Holy Gospel         Matthew 16:21–28

Not long after Jesus commends Peter for his confession that Jesus is the Son of God, He scolds Peter for not hearing the true purpose of His life on earth.  Moreover, Jesus includes us in His mission on earth and invites us to follow Him.
